Harry Potter Books
The Best Way to Discover the World of Harry Potter
Harry Potter books are made up of seven series written by author J. K. Rowling. The novel tells of a young orphaned boy who was born into the world of magic and was destined to do great things. His parents were killed by a dark sorcerer named Voldemort and the dark lord’s attempt to kill baby Harry led to his demise. After his death, the young Harry Potter has earned a legendary reputation in the magic world. But since he was whisked away from all this after the death of his parents, he never knew how popular he was until he was introduced back into the world of magic in Hogwarts School of Wizardry.
The popularity of the Harry Potter books led to the adaptation of the movie, produced by David Haymen and distributed by Warner Bros. Inc. The first film was released in 2001 and the last and eight series (book 7 was split into two) is set to be released in 2011. Aside from that, there are audio books released in the market as well. So for those of you wishing to delve into the magical world of Harry Potter for the first time, your biggest question would be, how?
Reading the actual Harry potter books can give you quite a lot of advantages. First off, it is where the original concept of the movie revolved in. This original story line had scenes and highlights that were not included in to the movie – little bit of pieces that could have made the entire story even more memorable. Some people also choose to go for the books not just for the read but for their collections. Such modern literary finds are a must to have for any book lover.
Aside from that, there are other great points that are featured in the movie series as well. Kudos to the people working on the production, every scene that they have chosen to include in to the movie gave J. K. Rowling’s literary gem justice. From the effects, the acting and even the story line, all were all able to stay true to all of the Harry potter books. Even the decision to split the 8th book into 2 separate movies seemed like a good idea as well.
The other option, the audio books, is a great choice for a selected few. This has been a hit especially for children who may not be able to stand reading the long novel but will delight in hearing someone read it for them. Although for people who do cultivate the culture of books and reading, this may not be a very good option to make. But if you are there to simply enjoy the story and get in on the adventure without straining your eyes with hours of reading, then audio books is a way to go.

So to answer your question, it really depends on your taste; although many critics also recommend reading the book first before watching the movie. If you are an avid book reader, then try out all seven Harry Potter books. Or better yet, you can even try all three and you decide for yourself.
